Status Orange wind warning issued for a number of counties as Storm Ashley to hit Ireland hard

This weekend, Storm Ashley is expected to deliver high spring tides and extremely powerful and windy southerly winds across the nation, reports Breaking News.

A Status Yellow wind warning will be in effect across the Republic from 10 a.m. on Sunday to midnight, while a Status Orange wind warning will be in effect in County Galway and County Mayo from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Northern Ireland will be under a yellow wind warning from 3 a.m. on Sunday to 12 p.m. on Monday. Winds might cause disruptions throughout this time.

Large coastal waves, fallen trees, the shifting of loose objects, extremely difficult travel conditions, damage to power lines, and power outages are some of the potential effects of Storm Ashley in areas under an orange weather warning, reports Breaking News.
