Thousands of homes remain without power and/or water this morning in the aftermath of Storm Emma.
The storm has now passed, but further problems are expected as snow begins to thaw, including possible flooding in south eastern counties.
Many roads remain very treacherous or altogether impassable as the clear-up operation gets underway. Emergency personnel have advised people to stay off the roads again today if possible.
