A student is currently in critical condition in hospital following an incident in Co Kerry over the weekend.
It is understood the woman was rushed to hospital after she and a man got into difficulties whilst kayaking on a river near Glencar.
The pair got into difficulties when their kayak overturned near Caragh Lake.
Although the man was also taken to hospital it is believed that he is in stable condition.
Meanwhile the woman was rushed to University Hospital Kerry where she currently remains in critical condition.
