Students are set to lose out in the new term, as student accommodation in Cork is now reserved for Ukrainian refugees.
It is understood that the Cork Student Village, which is privately owned, has now been contracted by the Department of Integration to provide accommodation to refugees for a 12-month period.
It’s unclear how many students will not be able to enroll in the new term due to lack of accommodation.
