Super auction sale: Rare Superman comic sells for a $3.25m at auction

A rare a Superman comic has broken the world record after it sold for $3.25m at an auction this week.

In a remarkable sale, the comic which was originally sold for 10c upon its release in 1938 was sold for the tidy sum earlier this week on online auction house ComicConnect.com.

The mint condition comic which is thought to detail the iconic superhero’s origins and is believed to be only one of the 100 copies still in existence was remarkably found amongst a stack of old 1930s movie magazines before it was sold.
