One pilot in Florida has a novel way of bringing pets to their new homes when they are being adopted.

According to the Metro, Chris van Dorn dresses up as Batman after establishing his own not-for-profit organisation called Batman4Paws which allows him to celebrate things he loves – animals, flying and his superhero icon.

Chris started delivering pets as Batman when he realised how much hard work was being done by volunteers in animal shelters who give so much care to animals that don’t have a home. His own family have adopted an Australian Shepherd who they called Mr. Boots.  He often accompanies Chris on his journeys bringing other animals to their “forever homes”.

He told the Metro, “It’s a great feeling to serve my community and there’s plenty more to do.  My motto is ’til every cage is empty!”
