The Tanaiste has spread fear into the country again by mooting that other counties may be put back into lockdown sooner rather than later.
Formerly appointed Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has hinted that more counties might be put under lockdown, after he was recorded saying that Ireland ‘hasn’t seen the last of local lockdowns.’
This follows the imposing of lockdown restrictions across counties Kildare, Laois, and Offaly last week.
The Covid-19 pandemic is far from over, and European health agencies are now urging Ireland to impose full lockdown amidst a hard resurgence of the virus here.
