The President of Tanzania, John Magufuli, has called into question the accuracy of his country’s imported Covid-19 test kits, the same kits used in Ireland and all over the world to diagnose the Chinese virus.
The leader of the African nation raised his concerns after he ordered his security services to obtain a number of the kits and test non-human subjects. The non-human tests were then submitted to laboratories with human names and ages.
Sure enough, a goat and a Pawpaw, a type of fruit native to the country, tested positive for Coronavirus.
After the shocking results President Magufuli said:
“There is something happening. I said before we should not accept that every aid is meant to be good for this nation.”
The President has also said the Covid-19 test kits should be investigated.
So far Tanzania had recorded 480 cases of COVID-19 and 17 deaths as of Sunday.
