Taoiseach Leo Varadkar refuses to accept ‘shame’ for Fine Gael’s poor housing record

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has today refused to accept ‘shame’ for his party’s rather poor record on housing.

According to an article published by the Irish Mirror, Mr. Varadkar is not ashamed about the over 10,000 people who are currently homeless. Instead, he said he feels ‘encouraged’ by the ‘progress’ been made the last 24 months.

The Taoiseach said that his Government has added ‘10,000 homes’ to the social housing stock, but it is unclear where all these dwellings are or how have they been used, if they were indeed built at all.

What do you think of Fine Gael’s track record on housing, and pretty much on any other issues? Let us know in the comments below.
