Teenager jailed for attempted robbery of a Kit-Kat chocolate bar




A teen has been jailed for one month for heinous crime of stealing a chocolate bar valued at as much as £1.

The 19-year-old, of no fixed address admitted to attempting the villainous heist of a Kit-Kat at a Co-Op on the Upper Malone Road in Belfast.

Belfast Magistrates Court heard the shocking accusations that the young man, James Kelly, didn’t just attempt the robbery of an ordinary Kit-Kat but rather opted for the salted caramel flavour Kit Kat.

Kelly was also said to have used course language when confronted and was unpleasant towards arresting police officers.

The Defence Lawyer for Mr Kelly spoke of how his clients life had recently unravelled and he could not remember the offence as he was drunk.
