
A teenager who was arrested in connection with a fatal road collision in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, has been released without charge. The crash occurred on Lower Main Street and resulted in the death of Anthony Gallagher, a man in his 60s, while his brother Martin Gallagher sustained serious injuries and remains hospitalised, reports RTE.
The tragic incident has left the local community in mourning, with many paying tribute to Anthony Gallagher as a kind and well-respected individual. RTÉ highlighted that local Gardaà are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, which involved a vehicle driven by the young suspect. Authorities have confirmed that a file on the case will be prepared and sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Garda Youth Diversion Bureau for further consideration.
