A teenager has been severely injured in Galway following a fall from a third floor balcony.
It is reported that incident took place at the Dun na Coiribe apartment complex on the Headford Road in Galway city late Wednesday night. The area is largely populated by students attending NUI Galway.
The 19 year old apparently fell from the balcony at about 11pm and no foul play is suspected, however a full investigation is underway.
He sustained severe injuries and was immediately brought to University College Hospital in Galway.
Following an initial assessment he was transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
