The eight migrants found hiding inside a cargo ship in Belview Port in Co. Waterford have been deported.
The migrants, all adult males believed to originate from Albania, had come in from the French port of St. Nazaire.
Gardai escorted the men on to a ferry bound for Cherbourg earlier this evening.
