The Flu, RSV and Covid-19 cases are all trending downwards, says HPSC




There has been a further decline in flu, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), and COVID-19 infections, according to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC), reports RTE.

There were 1,456 flu cases reported in the week before last Saturday, compared to 2,520 the week before.

Last week, 268 individuals with the flu were admitted to hospitals, including one ICU patient, reports RTE.

Last week, two flu-related fatalities were recorded.

Additionally, according to the HSPC data, there were 377 RSV cases and 130 Covid-19 infections last week, both of which were on the decline, reports RTE.
