The government say they’re doing all they can to ensure that the Leaving cert and Junior cert goes ahead this summer




Along with the coronavirus outbreak, it’s a very trying time for for students who are doing their best to study and learn by themselves at home while preparing for State exams.

The government say that intensive work is being made on holding the leaving cert and junior cert this summer at all costs.

They say that they’re determined to do whatever it takes to ensure that the State exams go ahead.

In what can only be described as absolutely unprecedented times, hundreds of thousands of children are at home and not going to school for a very elongated period.

Leo Varadkar has said that as things stand, the State exams of the Juni0r and Leaving Certificates will be going ahead in the summer.

He says the government wants all Leaving Cert students to start college in October, so possibly a couple of weeks later than normal.

He also said that the government are working on various ideas about how the Leaving Cert will go ahead but said that it definitely is going to happen this summer.
