They have been much of the talk of the nation for the past two weeks, but finally the so-called “Dubai Two” have been freed from their mandatory hotel quarantine and allowed to return home.
On April 2nd, the two young women were arrested in Dublin Airport state after refusing to go to a hotel to quarantine for two at their own expense after returning from Dubai.
They went to the Middle East to get cosmetic surgery which they didn’t actually get in the end.
Many people felt the whole thing was ridiculous and that both women, who are covid negative, should just have been allowed return to their home and quarantine there if it was so necessary.
Regardless, the two ended up having to stay at the Crown Plaza near the Airport in Santry.
They have taken legal action against the State in relation to the matter and will see a High Court verdict next week.
