The tail that wags the dog: Power hungry Eamon Ryan set to inflict endless green taxes on the Irish public

The Green Party leader (at least for now, that is) Eamon Ryan has been hungry for power to get back into government since his Green Party helped ruin Ireland back at the end of the Celtic Tiger.

Ryan is the tail that’s wagging the Fine Gael and Fianna Fail’s dog to get this makeshift draft programme for government across the line.

A 7% per year carbon tax increase will see green taxes imposed on the Irish public whether they like it or not for up to 10 years.

The trio have agreed to halt all sales of new petrol and diesel cars in Ireland by the 2030. There’s still hope, however, as many people in both Fianna Fail and Fine Gael’s own membership parties’ do not want to go into government with the Greens for various reasons, including how unstable it would be.
