Three killed after plane sent to tackle wildfires in Australia crashes

Australian authorities have confirmed that three people have died after a Canadian-owned C-130 Hercules air tanker crashed whilst trying to extinguish bush fires.

It is believed that all three American citizens were killed after the plane crashed in the Snowy Monaro area.

A spokesperson for New South Wales Police said that the plane had been sent to the region to drop fire retardant in valley but unfortunately it did not come back.

They added that they did not known what caused the crash but an investigation is currently ongoing.
