RTÉ Entertainment’s Patrick Kielty has said that whoever takes over the Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy will have “huge shoes to fill”, reports RTE.
The comedian and presenter was with his wife and presenter Cat Deeley on the red carpet at the Irish Film and Television Awards in Dublin on Sunday night when he was asked about speculation he would be taking on the role as Late Late presenter.
“I’ve only really a couple of things to say on that,” the Co Down man replied at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre – after first looking to Deeley, reports RTE.
“But I think something that maybe hasn’t been said: I’ve done chat shows before, I know how difficult they are. I’ve been a guest on the Late Late Show, and I’ve sat alongside Ryan doing his stuff, and whoever gets that gig, they’re going to have huge shoes to fill,” Kielty continued, reports RTE.
With that, Kielty and Deeley left to enjoy their night out while the speculation continued for another week.
