They’re off: No new Government but Ministers will travel abroad on annual St Patrick’s Day trips

There may be no new Government but Ministers from the previous regime will depart the country on their annual St Patrick’s Day trips.

In an announcement the Cabinet confirmed a list that will see a number of Ministers travelling to the US and Europe.

It is understood the acting Taoiseach Leo Varadkar will be travelling to Washington DC.

Meanwhile Tánaiste Simon Coveney will to New York, with the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys travelling to Sacramento.

The list also includes the Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed travelling Chicago, whilst the Minister for Rural Affairs Michael Ring will travel to Boston.

Amongst others to travel the Minister of State for Defence Paul Kehoe will visit Savannah, whilst the Minister for Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform Paschal Donohoe will travel to Paris and Brussels, and the Mnister for Justice Charlie Flanagan visit Berlin.
