Thousands of people had their daily commute disrupted this morning due to a major signal failure at Heuston Station.
It is understood that all services in and out of Heuston were cancelled for a time, though a few trains were able to travel later using a manual signal system.
Irish Rail said that knock-on effects are expected to last for a number of hours today.
