Three people arrested after raid on Carlow puppy farm

One man and two women, all in their 40s, have been arrested today as part of an ongoing investigation that arose from the discovery of 351 dogs and 11 horses at a farm in Myshall, Carlow, last April.

All the animals were rescued during a nine day long operation involving Gardai, the ISPCA, and officials from Carlow County Council. Most of the animals were sick or injured in one way or another, due to continuous neglect and mistreatment.

The three people arrested are currently being detained at Carlow Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
