Three people seriously injured following a crash in an Irish county overnight




Three people have been seriously injured following a crash in an Irish county.

The incident, which involved a car and a truck, happened on the N5 road between Charlestown and Swinford in Co. Mayo shortly before 12.30am.

A man in his 70s is in a critical condition in hospital, while a woman in her 50s was rushed to Beaumont Hospital in a serious condition. Both were passengers in the car. The driver was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact Claremorris Garda Station on 094 937 2080, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
