Met Eireann has tonight issued weather warnings due to high winds.
An Orange Wind alert is in place for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal. Gales of up to 65 to 75 km per hour are expected
A yellow level wind alert is in effect for Munster and Leinster, where Southwest winds will likely reach 50 to 65 km per hour.
Both warnings are due to remain in place until 9am tomorrow, Saturday. The meteorological service has forecast that gusts could reach speeds of up to 90 to 110 km per hour at times overnight.
