In what many around the world believe to be an extremely controversial technology, Vodafone have launched 5G services in five Irish cities.
It makes the telecommunications company the first Irish mobile operator to offer the high-speed service commercially.
5G has been linked with massive radiation, which has been linked by its objectors to cancer.
Vodafone’s 5G network will be available in parts of Cork, Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Waterford, with the operator claiming that it will expand its technology over the coming months.
