Toddler diagnosed with stage four cancer defies the odds and is declared cancer free




A 21-month-old toddler in US state of Kentucky has defied the odds and has been declared cancer free after battling stage four cancer.

According to WKBO, little Molly Hughes from Bowling Green, is now living life to the fullest after doctors declared she is now in remission following a long and gruelling treatment process.

Speaking to WKBO, Molly’s mum said she fell to the ground and hugged her baby girl for about five minutes after hearing the wonderful news.

Little Molly spent a total of 130 nights in hospital and underwent 15 months of treatment to defy the odds and be cured.

It is understood Molly was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma which is a cancer develops in nerve cells and mainly effects infants and young children.

In order to cure the critical illness doctors performed surgery, and treated Molly with radiation and other complicated procedures.

Upon receiving the news that her daughter had been declared cancer free, a delighted Chelsea told WKBO that her daughter is now a happy little girl and loves playing outside every day.

The emotional mum also thanked family and friends for their support, saying without it they would never had made it through the last 15 months.
