Toddler in serious condition in hospital following fall from a building in Co Wexford

A two-year-old toddler is currently in serious condition in Temple Street Hospital after he suffered severe head injuries after falling from the first floor of a building in Co Wexford.

It is not yet known how the young child fell from the building but Gardai say they are currently investigating the incident. The young boy was initially rushed to the University Hospital Waterford by the emergency services. Were doctors analysed is condition but it was later decided the infant should be transfered to Dublin by air ambulance.

It is understood that the Coast Guard Rescue 117 helicopter was immediately called in to bring the young boy from Waterford to Dublin Airport before he was quickly rushed to Temple Street Children’s Hospital at approximately 3am. Doctors at the hospital say the infants condition is serious but stable.
