A tornado swept through an area in Greater Manchester on Friday evening, uprooting trees and damaging cars in its path.
Witnesses say that the freak weather event lasted for about five minutes, with many describing the sight as ‘surreal’.
The tornado developed near Manchester Airport at around 5pm on Friday. It caused significant structural damage to a number of properties, but there are no reports of personal injuries.
