The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar was speaking in northern Ireland when he laid down in no certain terms that the UK wouldn’t be able to get any trade deal with the EU until the border issue is resolved.
Varadkar claimed that he didn’t think a ‘No Deal’ Brexit was inevitable but if it did happen, Boris Johnson would have to set out guidelines as to how the border issue is to be resolved along with citizens rights and the financial payoff to the European Union.
He’s pretty much on his own however as many now believe a ‘No Deal’ Brexit is inevitable.
