A one-year-old boy has tragically died this afternoon, after becoming tangled in blind cords.

The incident happened at Delaney Park in Dublin Hill, Cork, earlier this afternoon. The boy was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Gardai are treating the death as a tragic accident.
