
A pedestrian in his 40s has been killed in a tragic road incident in Co Tipperary.
The 47-year-old man was walking at Turtulla Cross, near Thurles, around 3.10pm yesterday afternoon when he was struck by a car.
The pedestrian was treated at the scene by ambulance staff before being rushed to South Tipperary General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A post-mortem examination is to be carried out today.
The 32-year-old driver of the car and three child passengers were not injured in the crash.
