Gardaí have confirmed this evening that a 70 year old man has died following a cycling accident in County Westmeath.
It us believed the man sadly lost Hus life after his bicycle was involved in a collision with a car on the N52, just north of Mullingar, earlier this afternoon.
Gardaí say the mam was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has since been removed to the Midlands Regional Hospital.
