The father and son who were found dead inside a Dublin canal yesterday afternoon have been named as Sean Sweeney and three-year-old Lee.
Their bodies were spotted by a member of the public at the back of Ashington Green housing estate in Ashtown, Dublin, at around 3pm on Sunday afternoon.
There were harrowing scenes in the locality yesterday as the bodies were recovered from the water.
Post-mortems will be carried out today, but Gardai are treating the event as a tragic accident.
