Gardaí in Co Louth have confirmed that a man aged in his 60s has sadly died following a road traffic incident over the weekend.
It is believed the man sadly died in hospital on Sunday afternoon after he was involved in the crash on the N2 north of Ardee at Aclint at approximately 6pm on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile man and a woman aged in their 20s, who were the occupants in the other vehicle, a van, received non-life threatening injuries in the collision.
Gardaí say an investigation is currently ongoing and a post-mortem examination will be carried out on the man’s remains later today.
