Gardai in Co Cork have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 70s has died following a single vehicle collision on Wednesday.
It is understood that the man was seriously injured following the crash which occurred on the R612 at Aghamarta in Crosshaven at around 4.20pm on Wednesday afternoon.
Gardai say the man was taken to Cork University Hospital but he was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
They added that an investigation into the crash is currently ongoing.
