A man has sadly died after getting into difficulties whilst swimming off the coast of Co Clare.
According to RTÉ News, the man aged in his 70s was rescued by the Irish Coast Guard whilst swimming off Kilkee this morning.
Although he was taken to University Hospital Limerick, he was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
