Gardai in Co Kildare have confirmed that a woman has died after being struck by a car.
It is understood that the woman aged aged in her 40s was sadly killed after being hit by a car in Ballyhagen in Carbury, at approximately 6:45PM on Wednesday evening.
Although Emergency services attended the scene, Gardai say the woman was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Gardai say the woman’s body has since been transferred to Naas General Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
