Authorities in Norway have sadly confirmed that two teenagers have been killed after they were struck by lightning.
It is understood that the two sisters aged 12 and 18 were sadly killed after they were struck by lightning whilst hiking in the mountainous area of Hareid on Sunday.
Police investigating say another person believed to be the girl’s other sister was also seriously injured in the lightning storm which occurred on the Melshorn Mountain.
They say the injured girl was taken to hospital for treatment before being transferred to another hospital in Bergen.
