The search for a missing 18-year-old on Mayo’s Achill Island was called off after a body was found, reports The Mirror.
Sebastian Palma Sigmund was last seen by his family around 5pm on Friday when he was out for a walk in the Doag area.
It is known that he was on vacation and visiting relatives living on Achill Island, reports The Mirror.
Members of the Coast Guard and Civil Defense were heavily involved in the search.
But last night, Gardai said: “Following the discovery of a body in the Dooagh area of Achill on the evening of Sunday 9th July 2023, the missing person appeal for Sebastian Palma Sigmond has been stood down. An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance,” reports The Mirror.
