Transport Minister Eamon Ryan has referred motorists struggling to pay for exorbitant petrol prices to their nearest social welfare office.

Mere months after Mr. Ryan’s superhuman immune system vanquished the Covid-19 virus in less than 24h -coincidentally, the day before he was due to embark on a cushy trip to Glasgow-, our plucky and well-paid Minister for Transport is recommending that motorists whose cars have stopped running go ask social welfare officers for ‘help.’

It’s not immediately clear if social welfare staff can issue petrol vouchers, or any other similar handouts to help fill up a family car’s tank.
