A number of families currently living in a Louth halting site will be evicted today, after talks between the residents at Woodland Park and Louth County Council yielded no agreement last night.
The families are believed to be at odds with the council regarding the proposed short-term rented accommodation offered to them. Council officials have said that it will put further proposals on the table for long-term arrangements.
In the meantime, the families will be evicted after fire safety officers raised serious concerns about the site.
