A 20-year-old motorcyclist has died in a crash in Co Cork, reports Breaking News.
Gardaí attended the scene of a single-vehicle road collision which occurred on the Cork City Southern Bypass on Saturday morning.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was taken from the scene to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will be carried out in due course, reports Breaking News.
Two lanes of the N40 eastbound have been closed while Garda collision forensic investigators examine the scene.
Cork Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them, reports Breaking News.
The investigation is currently ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact gardaí quoting reference number PR20879/2023.
