
After colliding with a car while crossing a road, an Irish Liverpool football fan who was in Italy to see his club play in the Champions League passed away, reports Breaking News.
Following the early-morning collision in Bergamo on Tuesday, 51-year-old Philip Joseph Dooley passed away.
Italian police are receiving assistance from two persons who observed the event in their inquiry, reports Breaking News.
Merseyside Police from Liverpool are also supporting Italian authorities.
According to Liverpool FC, the devoted Liverpool supporter had flown to Italy for the team’s match against AC Milan on Tuesday.
A club spokesman said: “Our staff in Milan are working with the local police and consulate, and continue to provide support to other fans impacted by this devastating incident. The thoughts and prayers of everyone connected to the club are with Philip’s family, friends and fellow supporters at this extremely difficult time. Rest in peace, Philip,” reports Breaking News.
