Tributes paid to man who died in Co Carlow crash on Saturday

A man who died in a road collision in Co Carlow on Saturday has been named as Jimmy Nolan.

Mr Nolan, who was in his 40s and from Tinnecarrig, Borris, Co Carlow, was fatally injured when he was struck by a car on the R703 in Ballyroughan Big, Borris, at around 4.30pm, reports Breaking News.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the vehicle, a woman in her 60s, escaped without injury.

Funeral details published on rip.ie state that Mr Nolan will be “sadly missed” by his heartbroken parents Andy and Christina, his brother David, sisters Mary, Elaine and Mairead, aunts Esther, Eileen, Mary and Christina, nephews, nieces, in-laws, relatives and friends, reports Breaking News.

Mr Nolan will repose at Joyce’s Funeral Home in Borris, Co Carlow, from 4pm to 9pm today, with a requiem mass taking place at midday tomorrow (Wednesday) in St Patrick’s Church, Ballymurphy, followed by burial.
