
In Co Tyrone, a single-vehicle collision claimed the lives of two young individuals, reports RTE.
A blue BMW collided on the Doogary Road in Omagh, killing 19-year-old Jamie Moore and 17-year-old Kamile Vaicikonyt.
The event occurred last night at around 9:50 p.m. After being closed, the route is again open again.
The road is a section of the A5, which needs a significant renovation. Hundreds of millions of euros have been committed to the project by the Irish government, reports RTE.
One of the riskiest highways in the nation, it connects the counties of Donegal and Monaghan via Derry and Tyrone.
Ms. Vaicikonyte attended Ballygawley, County Tyrone’s St. Ciaran’s College in her sixth year of study, reports RTE.
