There are stories in the world that take our breaths away and some that down right annoy us, but then there are some that truly astound us and this latest one may show everyone what being true humanitarian is all about as one elderly Canadian one woman has received worldwide praise for her actions.
In this truly remarkable story witnessed by Ehab Taha, a British Columbia resident who was onboard a Vancouver Skytrain last week, he tells of how a elderly remarkably was able to calm down a six foot five man believed to be suffering from drug abuse and\or mental health issues.
Taha has become a viral hit after he took to Facebook to tell a detailed account of what happened as the mentally distressed man became very aggressive and erratic which seen him cursing and shouting on a bus which was full of passengers.

However in the throws of mayhem a brave elderly woman came to the rescue and reached out to her fellow man who she seen as clearly struggling. Taha told his followers: “Whilst everyone was scared, this one seventy year old woman reached out her hand, tightly gripping his hand until he calmed down, sat down silently, with eventual tears in his eyes.”
Even more amazingly the woman managed to calm the distressed man every time he became agitated, which prompted Taha to take a photo of the encounter. Taha continued to explain that 15 to 20 minutes later, the bus arrived at the man’s stop, where he got up and said “Thanks, grandma”, before getting off.
Taha then said he couldn’t help but thank the woman for her brave actions, saying that the world needed more people like her. To which she responded saying that she was a mother and believed the distressed man needed someone to touch. The heroic woman also said that she didn’t want him to feel so alone.
Taha’s incredible Facebook post has since become a viral sensation with it being shared almost 30,000 times.
