Donald Trump’s much-touted $2bn border wall has been easily defeated by makeshift $5 ladders, according to local reports.
When migrants arrive at the border, they simply lean a crudely assembled ladder against Trump’s wall, climb other it, and slide down the other side to continue their journey. The operation to overcome the $27m-a-mile-wall takes seconds. Presumably, no one in the spectacularly inept Trump Administration, nor the disgraced former President himself, could foresee how easily a medieval defence technique such as a wall can be overcome by long enough ladders.
Artist Scott Nicol, who has dedicated a great chunk of his time documenting migrant journeys and experiences through his photography, proclaimed that ‘Unlike the wall, these ladders are functional.’
