The Chief Executive of the Child and Family Agency Tusla has claimed that the agency received no referral in relation to any concerns about Kyran Durnin’s attendance in school or that of his educational welfare between the years of 2022 and 2024.
According to RTE, Kate Duggan said that it wasn’t correct to say that because there had been no referral received, that the agency had no cause to go checking whether Kyran had been in school or not.
Tusla has completed its review into the missing boy and has sent it onto the government.
Sadly, the boy is presumed dead at this stage.
It’s understood that the Minister for Children Roderic O’Gorman received the report on Friday, but the organisation said that it will not be made public.
