Gardai in Kerry have arrested two men in their 30s after an armed raid on a post office in the county earlier today. One man evaded capture and remains at large.
It is understood the raiders initially made off with a large sum of cash taken from the post office in Waterville, Co. Kerry.
The perpetrators fled on a car with police in hot pursuit. The raiders rammed a squad car, slightly injuring two gardai. The getaway car spun out and the raiders fled on foot across nearby fields.
Two of the men were later arrested in the Beaufort area, and are being held in custody.
The search for the third man is underway.
