Two double child benefit payments will be made before Christmas, following the Budget announcements.
The Government finalised a cost-of-living package of close to €2 billion that will be paid out before Christmas.
These payments will include a €250 energy credit and extra payments on fuel and living alone allowances.
The first payment will be made in November and the second will be made in December 2024.
